Trump on Dolly Parton: 'She really liked me'

President Donald Trump told conservative commentator Glenn Beck on Wednesday that the late Dolly Parton "really liked" him, but was not inclined toward politics.

Parton's family announced her death Tuesday, which followed a battle with cancer. She was 80 years old. Speaking on the "Glenn Beck Program," Trump contended that Parton held a favorable view of him.

"I knew her a little bit. She wasn't a very political person. She really liked me. I will tell you," he said. "But she was a great person ... it was a natural thing to lower the flags."

Following news of her death, Trump ordered that government agencies fly their flags at half-staff for a week in her honor.
