Trump expected to tout investments in battlefield technology at defense summit in Pennsylvania

President Donald Trump is expected to tout investments in battlefield technology at a defense summit on Wednesday at the U.S. Army War College, where he is headlining the event. 

Key leaders in defense, as well as some of the largest global investors, will attend the summit in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, which will highlight the importance of national security. The event will also feature Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, the Associated Press reported

The summit began on Tuesday. Multi-analytics threat detection leader ZeroEyes, which is based in Pennsylvania, announced a planned $10 million investment in artificial intelligence and machine learning research and development. 

Pittsburgh-based Gecko Robotics said it plans to open a 10,000-square-foot manufacturing plant that will increase integration of robotics into the defense manufacturing process, helping to improve America's defense industrial base.
