Trump Library organizers release video of future site, Miami skyscraper
“It will be a masterpiece, the likes of which have never been seen in Florida or really anywhere,” Eric Trump said
The organizers for Donald Trump's future presidential library have released a teaser video of the proposed site – a downtown Miami skyscraper that is set to include a replica of Air Force One in the lobby.
“Miami deserves this building,” Trump's son, Eric, who has helped lead the effort to have such a library, told the Miami Herald. “It will be a masterpiece, the likes of which have never been seen in Florida or really anywhere.”
The video released Monday by Trump's presidential library foundation also shows the skyscraper with "TRUMP" emblazoned on the top and a golden statue of Trump at the front of an amphitheater.
There are also replicas of the White House, including the Rose Garden and the ballroom that Trump is currently building onto the president's house.
The library was designed by Bermello Ajamil, a firm that also designed the downtown Miami Four Seasons hotel and tower and PortMiami cruise terminal.
Willy Bermello, a founder of the firm, said in a statement Tuesday that the future library was “part of the Miami Dade College downtown campus,” and that the tower will “serve as a beacon to all cruise ships entering the Miami harbor.”
The library will be constructed in a parking lot that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Republican, arranged for its owner, the state-run Miami Dade College, to give away for free for the library.
