Trump receives emotional response from Sneaker Con during surprise visit

Former President Donald Trump received emotional and mixed responses from the attendees of Sneaker Con in Pennsylvania, where he made a surprise appearance to promote his new branded shoes. 

Both boos and cheers erupted from the audience at the Philadelphia Convention Center when Trump took the stage to speak Saturday, according to multiple news reports. 

Trump, who spoke next to a pair of gold high top sneakers, said he had been thinking about releasing sneakers for more than a decade. 

"I think it's going to be a big success," he said. 

The gold sneakers, which were being marketed as "Never Surrender High-Tops" for $399 on GetTrumpSneakers.com, completely sold out hours after they went up for pre-sale. Only 1,000 pairs are expected to be released, and the estimated ship date is July 2024. 

More affordable sneakers are still available on the website, including a pair of white knit sneakers called "POTUS 45" for $199, and another one called "Red Waves" for $199. The website also sells "Trump Victory 47" perfume and cologne.
