Trump urges Cracker Barrel to keep old logo
"They got a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right," President Trump said
President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Cracker Barrel should keep its old logo, and announced that there will be a "major" press conference.
"Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before," Trump posted on Truth Social.
"They got a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right. Very tricky to do, but a great opportunity," he went on.
"Have a major News Conference today. Make Cracker Barrel a WINNER again. Remember, in just a short period of time I made the United States of America the 'HOTTEST' Country anywhere in the World. One year ago, it was 'DEAD.' Good luck!" Trump added.
Cracker Barrel has faced significant public backlash after announcing last week that it would implement a design overhaul, featuring a redesigned logo without its classic symbols and a new restaurant interior that removed trademark American artifacts used as wall decorations and country-style wooden furniture.
The restaurant company’s stock price has dropped nearly six points since the announcement, losing almost $100 million in market capital.
