Trump says MRI scan at recent medical exam at Walter Reed was 'perfect'
"We had an MRI and the machine, you know, the whole thing. And it was perfect," President Trump said
President Trump acknowledged Monday that he underwent an MRI during his recent checkup at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and said the results were "perfect."
Trump underwent a second examination in early October – six months after a physical in April. Whether he got the magnetic resonance imagining, or MRI, for preventative reasons or a specific concern is unclear, according to CBS News.
He made the comments aboard Air Force One during is Asian trip, on his way to Tokyo.
"It was perfect, yeah," Trump told reporters, according to Fox News. "I mean, I gave you the full results. We had an MRI and the machine, you know, the whole thing. And it was perfect."
Trump, 79, was the oldest person to be inaugurated as U.S. president when he returned to the White House in January, and is the second-oldest person to serve as president.
Trump's doctor said earlier this month that the president is in "exceptional health" after a "routine" semiannual physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
The physician to the president, Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, said Trump "remains in exceptional health, exhibiting strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance."
Barbabella added that Trump received updated COVID-19 and flu shots ahead of international travel.
