President Trump said that Republicans should "nationalize" voting after irregularities occurred in the 2020 election.

“The Republicans should say, ‘We want to take over. We should take over the voting in at least 15 places.’ The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting,” Trump said on Monday on former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino’s podcast, POLITICO reported.

Trump repeatedly said that he won the 2020 election “in a landslide,” alleging that people “voted illegally.” He also referred to the FBI’s raid in Fulton County, Ga., teasing that “you’re going to see some interesting things come out.”

The president's comments come after the FBI raided the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center on Wednesday on a warrant citing a law that prohibits fraud by election workers, seizing ballots and other related materials from the 2020 election.

The U.S. Constitution delegates election administration to state governments, but Congress conducts oversight of federal elections.
