The Treasury Department also announced sanctions against Wedding and suspected members of his network.
The Department of Justice on Wednesday announced efforts to crack down on the drug trafficking operation of alleged criminal kingpin Ryan James Wedding.
Wedding is a former Olympic snowboarder and alleged to be Canada's most prolific drug trafficker. The DOJ on Wednesday announced the arrest of 12 figures in an international crackdown related to Wedding's operation.
The DOJ also announced the increase of its reward for information related to Wedding's arrest from $10 million to $15 million.
The Treasury Department also announced sanctions against Wedding and suspected members of his network.
“Today we’re exposing the network of associates and enablers behind Ryan Wedding — one of the most notorious criminals and narcotraffickers still evading justice,” Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence John K. Hurley said.
