Darline Graham Nordone may seek full Senate term: Report

Sen. Darline Graham Nordone, R-S.C., has reportedly told the White House that she might seek a full term in the upper chamber after Gov. Henry McMaster, R-S.C., appointed her to serve the remainder of her late brother, the late Sen. Lindsey Graham's, R-S.C., term.

President Donald Trump openly backed her selection for the post after Graham died earlier this month. But with many South Carolina Republicans eyeing the opening, it is far from a sure thing that Trump would endorse her for the August special primary.

Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., has already announced his intent to run, and Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., has expressed interest in a potential bid. Both unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for governor earlier this year.
