Dell CEO pledges $6.2B to Trump accounts for 25M children
The contribution will see the couple deposit $250 into each account.
Dell CEO Michael Dell and his wife, Susan, on Tuesday announced that they would commit $6.2 billion in funds to the administration's "Trump accounts" to help give 25 million American children a financial head start.
"Next year, every American child will be able to get an investment account, powered by Invest America," they said. "The real power of these accounts, is that anyone can contribute."
The contribution will see the couple deposit $250 into each account, expanding on the existing $1,000 deposits from the Treasury into the so-called "Trump accounts," Reuters reported.
"To philanthropists, companies, community leaders, if you want to part of something truly meaningful, for our kids, for our companies, for our country, join us," Michael Dell said.
