The Department of Homeland Security on Monday confirmed that it had apprehended members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, including domestic terrorists, as part of a "military style raid" in Chicago that Gov. JB Pritzker, D-Ill., condemned.

"There's been zero accountability or transparency from ICE or the administration," Pritzker said in a press conference. "Last week, federal agents dressed in camouflage gear conducted a military style raid on an apartment building... they brought blackhawk military helicopters and more than 100 agents in full tactical gear."

He further decried the agency's deployment of cameras to film the raid. Responding to a clip of the press conference, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin confirmed Pritzker's account, though she added some crucial details.

"Yes during this targeted operation [DHS] law enforcement arrested multiple Tren de Aragua members and domestic terrorists," she posted. "JB Pritzker can thank [ICE] and [CBP] for risking their lives to remove these dangerous criminals from his state."
