House Democratic super PAC, allied nonprofit raised $51 million in second quarter
House Majority PAC raised $45.9 million through May 31 of this year and $76 million in 2023.
The House Majority PAC, a super PAC affiliated with the House of Representatives' Democratic leadership, and the associated nonprofit House Majority Forward collectively raised $51 million in the second quarter of 2024.
House Majority PAC, which has connections with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, raised $45.9 million through May 31 of this year and $76 million in 2023, Politico reported. The PAC is the largest outside group for Democrats focused on House races.
The $51 million raised by both House Majority PAC and House Majority Forward is more than double what they both raised in the second quarter of 2022 for the midterm elections, and above the $37 million raised in the first three months of 2024.
House Majority PAC President Mike Smith said in a statement that "[a]fter our strongest fundraising off-year ever, HMP continues to smash our previous fundraising records. It's more clear than ever that House Democrats have the momentum — and we will take back the House in November and elect Speaker Hakeem Jeffries."
