CNN competitors including Fox News and ABC are planning to carry the simulcast of the network's presidential debate on June 27.

The June 27 debate is the first 2024 general election debate between President Biden and former President Trump. Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. did not qualify for the debate.

NBC, MSNBC, Telemundo. Nexstar's cable network NewsNation, Newsmax and Scripps News are also expected to carry the debate.

Presidential debates have been organized by the Commission on Presidential Debates and aired by multiple outlets. The Biden and Trump campaigns agreed to two debates outside of the commission. The June 27 debate will be moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash without a live audience at the network's Atlanta studio.

ABC will host the second debate on Sept. 10. A third debate held by CBS between the vice presidential candidates will follow.
