Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska and Mitt Romney, R-Utah, are not planning to attend the Capitol Hill meeting on Thursday with former President Trump, the 2024 presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

Collins and Murkowski said they have scheduling conflicts while Romney told the press he has a flight that conflicts with the meeting.

The three senators are among the group of seven GOP senators who voted in favor of impeaching Trump over the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Romney, in particular, is a frequent critic of Trump.

Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., also voted to impeach Trump over Jan. 6 but he is reportedly leaning toward attending the meeting.

The remaining 3 senators have retired from the Senate.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters on Wednesday that he would attend the meeting with Trump.

Trump is also meeting with House Republicans over breakfast on Thursday. He is also scheduled to attend a private Business Roundtable event where Larry Kudlow, his former economic advisor in the White House, will interview him.
