Misleading? Blake Masters' ad touts Trump's 2022 support, doesn't mention ex-prez now backs opponent
"'Blake The Snake' ran an awful Senate campaign, was humiliated by Mark Kelly, and brought down the entire ticket in 2022," Abe Hamadeh's campaign responded.
Arizona GOP congressional candidate Blake Masters has released an ad touting former President Trump's endorsement of his 2022 Senate campaign despite primary opponent Abe Hamadeh receiving Trump's support in this year's House race.
Masters' congressional campaign released a new television ad that says, "President Trump endorsed Blake Masters in his Senate campaign." However, Masters ran for Senate in 2022 and is currently running for Arizona's 8th Congressional District. In the congressional race, Trump endorsed Masters' GOP opponent, Abe Hamadeh.
Hamadeh's campaign posted on X on Tuesday, "'Blake The Snake' ran an awful Senate campaign, was humiliated by Mark Kelly, and brought down the entire ticket in 2022. Now, he's running a kamikaze campaign against @AbrahamHamadeh out of spite. Blake Masters doesn’t need a congressional seat. He needs a therapist."
Arizona's primary election is on July 30, with early voting set to begin Wednesday.
