Trump distances himself from Project 2025: 'I have nothing to do with them'

Former President Trump, the presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee, distanced himself from Project 2025 on Friday.

"I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal," Trump wrote on social media. "Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them."

Project 2025 is affiliated with the Heritage Foundation and other conservative organizations.

One partner organization working with Project 2025 is researching federal employees and compiling a list of those who might be hostile to Trump's agenda, should be win back the White House in November.
