Woman shot outside Virginia GOP HQ but 'no indication' it was related to party operations: party

The Republican Party of Virginia said a woman was shot "immediately" in front of its offices in Richmond around 1:45 pm Thursday, less than a week before midterm elections, but that all its staff are safe.

First responders arrived within minutes and "we have no indication that the shooting was related to the operations of the Republican Party of Virginia." the state party wrote on X.

What led to the gunfire and the woman's condition "were not immediately clear," Fox News reported.
