Nuclear agreement with Iran may not be possible, Energy Secretary Wright says

Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Sunday that a nuclear agreement with Iran, which was a key ask in the Trump administration's negotiations, may not be realized after months of war with the country.
Wright told ABC News' "This Week" that "simply destroying" Iran's nuclear capabilities with a bombing campaign may be the only way to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon without an agreement, but he said there's a lot of uncertainty.
"An agreement may await the next administration in Iran. We simply don't know," Wright said.
Wright said that the effort to block the Middle Eastern country from obtaining nuclear weapons has been going on for 47 years, and the U.S. will "get the job done."
"We will work in cooperation with our allies in the region," Wright said.
