Ex-Trump housing guru joins BOXABL board of directors

Former chief housing economist on the Council of Economic Advisers Morris Davis will join the board of directors for BOXABL, the company announced in a statement.

BOXABL is a micro-housing firm known for affordable, rapid-assembly modular homes. Davis, for his part, was a leading adviser to President Donald Trump on lowering the cost of housing.

"Morris Davis is a transformative force in housing economics, with unparalleled expertise from the halls of the Federal Reserve to the Oval Office," BOXABL CFO Martin Costas said. "His direct collaboration with President Trump's cabinet on affordability initiatives will be invaluable as we scale production and redefine how American builds."

Housing affordability has increasingly ranked among the top issues for Americans, especially younger voters, and Trump has struggled to quell dissatisfaction with the economy since returning to the White House.
