Haitian illegal in viral video deported back to Haiti after 19 months: Fox News

An illegal alien gang member from Haiti who went viral in a 2025 video was successfully deported to Haiti, nine months after his initial arrest, Fox News's Bill Melugin reported Tuesday.

Wisteguens Jean Quely Chargles went viral last year for shouting "f*** Trump, Biden forever!" and "I'm not going back to Haiti!" during his arrest. He had 17 prior criminal convictions and was first admitted to the country under temporary protected status (TPS) in 2013, though his TPS was revoked.

“He went viral for praising Biden as he was getting arrested, because he knew that the Biden Administration’s open borders turned America into a paradise for criminals like him," Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin told the outlet. "The Trump Administration has finally done what both the Obama and Biden Administrations failed to do and deported this criminal back where he belongs."

The Trump administration recently revoked TPS for Haitian recipients, ending the designation first implemented in 2010, due to a major earthquake. Roughly 350,000 Haitians held TPS status before the revocation.

But Chargles had long since lost his TPS status and his deportation comes as the administration works to implement the mass deportations Trump promised on the campaign trail, with a focus on the "worst of the worst" criminal illegal aliens.
