Kennedy releases official 'MAHA' official report on children's health

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has released a report from the “Make America Healthy Again” commission on children's health.

The report released Tuesday lays out a plan to combat chronic childhood diseases and discusses the root causes of chronic disease in children, such as too much screen time and ultra-processed food. 

The report dives into a plan to investigate ingredients in food, modernize vaccines in America, and improve the childhood vaccine schedule. 

However, the report doesn't enforce restrictions on pesticide use, but focuses on reforming FDA regulatory pathways, according to the Politico news outlet. 

Kennedy's strategy won't propose regulations on pesticides, but will instead launch an investigation into how many chemicals consumers are exposed to when getting food. 

There is also a goal to decrease the amount of herbicides by using precision technology.

“This strategy represents the most sweeping reform agenda in modern history — realigning our food and health systems, driving education, and unleashing science to protect America’s children and families,” Kennedy said in a statement. "We are ending the corporate capture of public health, restoring transparency, and putting gold-standard science — not special interests — at the center of every decision.”
