Kennedy adviser Calley Means resigns from White House, no reason given
Means has been a vocal advocate for the administration's Make America Healthy Again movement and was an adviser on Kennedy’s 2024 presidential campaign.
One of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s top advisors, Calley Means, announced Thursday that he is resigning from the White House, though he did not share the reason for the decision.
Means has been a vocal advocate for the administration's Make America Healthy Again movement and was an adviser on Kennedy’s 2024 presidential campaign. He was first employed at the White House as a special government employee last year but later transitioned into a full-time position.
"I am resigning from the White House with tremendous respect for President Trump and Bobby Kennedy," Means said on X. "They laid out a vision of combatting the entrenched, dark forces in DC that profit from Americans getting sick."
Means noted some of his accomplishments included steering policy guidelines on issues like dietary guideline reform, psychedelic reform, removing soda from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and eliminating certain food dyes.
"More policy and cultural change has happened around these goals in the past 2 years than any time in history - and I know this movement is just getting started," he said. "It was an honor to advocate for MAHA moms in the administration."
