Obamacare shoppers face double-digit premium hikes in 2027, rate forecasts say

People shopping for health insurance through Obamacare, also known as the Affordable Care Act, are likely to see their premiums increase by more than 10% in 2027.
Health insurance companies file state-by-state rate forecasts, and the latest analysis was released on Wednesday, the Washington Post reported.
The median proposed increase is 14%, according to an analysis of 16 states by KFF, a nonprofit health policy organization. Proposed increases range from 7% in Vermont to 25% in Indiana.
