House Judiciary panel to hold hearing on balanced budget amendment

The hearing is set for Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. EST.

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government plans to hold a hearing on a balanced budget amendment this week.

The hearing comes as the deficit nears $2 trillion per year and the national debt stands at roughly $38 trillion. 

Testifying at the hearing will be former U.S. Comptroller General David Walker, Americans for Prosperity Senior Fellow Kurt Couchman, and Economic Policy Innovation Center Executive Vice President Brittany Madni.

The hearing is set for Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. EST.
