Hunter Biden on former DNC Chair Harrison's debut podcast, Dems lost because weren’t loyal to father
Hunter Biden's problems with addiction and paying taxes as well as a gun-charge conviction and questionable overseas business dealings provided almost non-stop GOP attack lines during the campaign.
Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison is launching a new podcast called “At Our Table” and former first son Hunter Biden is set to be one of his first guests.
Biden tells Harrison in an excerpt released from the interview that he believes Democrats lost the 2024 presidential election because they did not stay ‘loyal’ to his father.
“We lost the election because we did not remain loyal to the leader of the party. That’s my position,” Biden told Harrison. “We had the advantage of incumbency. We had advantage of an incredibly successful administration, and the Democratic Party literally melted down.”
The episode is said to air next week.
Harrison hopes his podcast will provide a platform to help strengthen the Democratic Party.
Biden exited the 2024 race amid intense pressure from within the party following a disastrous debate with then-GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. He was replaced as the Democratic nominee by then-Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost to Trump.

"We need more voices that are anchored in the Democratic Party, because some of the podcasts that are out there are more often criticizing the Democratic Party instead of really promoting the assets and the leaders that we have," Harrison told NBC News.
Former President Biden pardoned Hunter for gun and tax convictions just weeks after losing the election.
