Hunter Biden said in an interview that former President Joe Biden took Ambien prior to the June 2024 presidential debate, blaming his father’s historically poor debate performance on the sleeping medication.
“I know exactly what happened in that debate,” Hunter Biden told YouTuber Andrew Callaghan during an interview released Monday, marking a year since Joe Biden announced his re-election exit.
“He flew around the world basically the mileage he could have flown around the world three times. He’s 81 years old. He’s tired as sh–, said the former president’s son. “They give him Ambien to be able to sleep. He gets up on the stage, and he looks like a deer in the headlights.
The then President traveled to France for five days to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day from June 5-10, 2024. A few days later he traveled to Italy to meet with G7 leaders from June 13-15, 2024.
However, Biden arrived at Camp David on June 20, 2024 where he remained until the June 27 debate, according to the New York Post.
