Jones tied with Miyares in VA AG race: Poll
The race is notably closer than the gubernatorial contest, in which Democrat Abigail Spanberger leads Republican Winsome Earle-Sears by 12%.
Virginia Democratic Attorney General nominee Jay Jones is in a deadlock with incumbent GOP state AG Jason Miyares amid an ongoing scandal over his text messages in which the Democrat fantasized about the deaths of his political opponents' children.
Jones and Miyares earned 46% support each among likely voters in the Washington Post/Schar School poll. In the survey's previous iteration, Jones led with 51% to Miyares's 45%.
Jones further earned a mere 30% favorable rating in the survey, with 45% viewing him unfavorably. By contrast, Miyare earned a 38% favorable figure and 32% unfavorable.
