Mass shooting in Reno leaves two dead, several injured

At least two people are dead and at least three others sustained injuries in a shooting at a Reno, Nev., resort on Monday morning, according to the Associated Press. 

A suspect has been transported to the hospital following an officer-involved shooting at the Grand Sierra Resort. No officers were shot and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

“Officers immediately located the suspect at which time an officer involved shooting occurred,” police officials said in a statement. “The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local area hospital. The suspect’s condition is unknown at this time. There is no known continuing threat to the public.”

Authorities have not publicly identified the suspect nor have they determined a motive as of press time.
