President Trump's approval rating is holding steady at 37%, according to a poll released Friday, while 47% of U.S. adults support his handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research was conducted after the ceasefire deal was announced between Israel and Hamas, but before the hostages were freed.

Respondents appeared more concerned about domestic issues such as the economy, health care and immigration, rather than the foreign conflict.

In September, Trump's approval rating was 39%. The 47% who approve of his handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was a significant increase from last month, when it was at 37%. Democrats' approval largely drove the increase, as it jumped from 9% to 23%.

In July, AP-NORC polling found that only about 40% said the Middle East was at least “very” important to them personally, compared with about 90% who said that about the economy.

A total of 42% of adults approve of how Trump is handling immigration, holding steady with last month's poll.

About a third said they approve of Trump's performance on the economy, which has stayed steady throughout his second term.

Meanwhile, about 30% of adults approve of Trump’s leadership on health care, in line with September's poll.

The AP-NORC poll of 1,289 adults was conducted Oct. 9-13, and the margin of sampling error is +/- 3.8 percentage points.
