Russian delegates will meet with American diplomats in Miami, Fla., over the weekend to discuss a possible end to the Ukraine War, The Hill reported, citing the White House.

The meeting marks the latest round of attempts to broker an end to the conflict, which has lasted since February of 2022. Trump is reportedly confident he can get the Russians to agree to a collective security agreement for Ukraine that would keep the country outside of NATO, though territorial disputes remain unaddressed.

The meeting comes as the Russians continue to make gains on the battlefield, recently capturing the city of Siversk and encircling the Ukrainian garrison at Myrnograd.

Russian officially annexed four provinces from Ukraine after its invasion, though it does not fully control any of them.
