Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci reacted to the ouster of White House press secretary Katie Zacharia, who was ousted from her post after five days.

"Records are made to be broken. But I take no pleasure in other people's pain," he posted.

Scaramucci served in his post for a mere 11 days before being fired in 2017. His name has since become synonymous with short professional tenures in political circles.

Zacharia debuted on Tuesday in a short press briefing that saw her draw flak from reporters for appearing nervous. Subsequent articles attacked her legal qualifications, and she struggled to contain the fallout.

While she has a law degree from Pepperdine University, she never passed the bar, though she did work for a law firm in China.

Earlier on Friday, President Donald Trump revealed that he had urged Zacharia to reconsider taking the job, before reports broke in the afternoon that she had been fired.

Zacharia has not publicly commented on the situation as of press time.
