The Federal Aviation Administration Tuesday announced it has certified the Boeing 737 MAX 10 following years of regulatory and safety reviews.

The certification removes the final hurdle preventing the company from delivering 1,555 orders for the jet, which represents a third of the company's outstanding 737 MAX orders, Fox News reported.

So far, Boeing has received 7,350 orders for the aircraft family, and nearly 2,500 of the planes have been delivered through the end of September 2026.

Boeing said it has received orders from more than 30 customers worldwide for the 737-10.

Stephanie Pope, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Planes, said in a statement that the 737-10 offers more capacity and the best seat economics in its class.
