Trump appears to demand 'unconditional surrender', threatens 'easy target' ayatollah

President Donald Trump on Tuesday appeared to call for the "unconditional surrender" of Iran while suggesting the U.S. was poised to assassinate Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

"UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!" he posted on Truth Social. In a seperate, previous post, he further sugggested the U.S. was prepared to kill Khamenei.

"We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now," he said. "But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Trump previously seemed to confirm American involvement in the war by stating that "we" had control over Iranian air space and that American equipment had played a role in achieving air supremacy.
