Trump backs Harriet Hageman for Wyoming Senate seat

President Donald Trump on Tuesday endorsed Rep. Harriet Hageman, R-Wyo., in her bid to represent the state in the Senate.

Hageman achieved national recognition in 2022, when she successfully primaried former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who had earned the ire of the party over her participation in the House Jan. 6 Committee and her vote to impeach the president after Jan. 6.

Hageman is running to succeed Sen. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., who is retiring at the end of the term.

"I know Harriet well, and she is a TOTAL WINNER! Harriet has ALWAYS delivered for Wyoming, and will continue to do so in the United States Senate," Trump posted on Truth Social. "She will fight tirelessly to Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Advance American Energy DOMINANCE, Champion our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Support our Incredible Military/Veterans, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment."

"Harriet Hageman is one of the most respected people in all of Washington, D.C., and has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be your next Senator — SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!" he added.

Wyoming is a deep red state and the contest is expected to favor Republicans.
