Trump backs Stacy Garrity for PA governor

President Donald Trump on Tuesday endorsed Pennsylvania state Treasurer Stacy Garrity in her bid to govern the Keystone State.

Garrity is facing off against Gov. Josh Shapiro, D-Pa., in what is expected to be an uphill battle for Republicans.

"It was my Great Honor to welcome Highly Respected and very popular Pennsylvania State Treasurer, Stacy Garrity, into the Oval Office. Stacy is running to be the next Governor of the GREAT Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She has my Complete and Total Endorsement. She will do a fantastic job!" Trump posted on Truth Social.

Garrity clinched the Republican nomination in May and will not face another election until November. She appeared in the Oval Office with Trump, who shared a video of the pair together along with his endorsement.
