Trump blames Democrats for leaking docs on Iran bombings, urges prosecution

President Donald Trump on Thursday blamed the Democrats for leaking information on the American bombings of Iranian nuclear facilities that suggested the strikes had failed to significantly impede the country's weapons program.

"The Democrats are the ones who leaked the information on the PERFECT FLIGHT to the Nuclear Sites in Iran. They should be prosecuted!" Trump fumed on Truth Social. 

The president has repeatedly asserted that the United States' operations succeeded in effectively eliminating Iran's nuclear capabilities, though the exact impact remains the subject of debate.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, this week, backed Trump's assertions, saying that "New intelligence confirms what [Trump] has stated numerous times: Iran's nuclear facilities have been destroyed."

"If the Iranians chose to rebuild, they would have to rebuild all three facilities (Natanz, Fordow, Esfahan) entirely, which would likely take years to do," she said.
