Trump cheers Vance anti-fraud efforts
"Vice President JD Vance and Republicans are doing a great job hunting down Fraud in the various States," Trump posted on Truth Social.
President Donald Trump on Wednesday touted Vice President JD Vance's efforts to crack down on misuse of public funds as the nation's "fraud czar," contending that the political opposition sought to hide fraud to protect their own interests.
Trump named Vance as his "fraud czar" in early April. Since his appointment, he has overseen major fraud busts across the nation, including against allegedly fraudulent hospices in Los Angeles and other operations in Minneapolis and Maine.
"Vice President JD Vance and Republicans are doing a great job hunting down Fraud in the various States," Trump posted on Truth Social. "Billions of Dollars is being found, and we’ve just started! If we found it all, we would literally be able to balance the Budget, and simultaneously reduce Taxes, cutting them even more than I have already done, which is a RECORD! Amazingly, Dumocrats are fighting us all the way."
"This is something that I am surprised at, because I thought this would be a Bipartisan effort. It’s looking like they’re in on the act. The Dumocrats don’t want us to find Hundreds of Billions of Dollars of FRAUD!" he added. "This goes down, along with Men playing in Women’s Sports, the Transgender Mutilization of our Children, Mail In Ballots, No Voter Identification, and No Proof of Citizenship, in the scale of ridiculousness."
Vance consistently ranks as the top contender for the Republican nomination in 2028, though he has not announced his candidacy.
