Trump credits Charlie Kirk with religious revival among American youth
Kirk was fatally shot in September 2025 during an open-air event at Utah Valley University. His alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, faces the death penalty, if convicted.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday credited the late Charlie Kirk with an ongoing religious revival in America, especially among the nation's youths.
"I'm very proud to say that during my time in office, both the first four years, and in particular this last year, there has been a tremendous renewal in religion, faith, Christianity, and belief in God. Tremendous renewal," he said. "This is especially true among young people, and a big part of that had to do with my great friend, Charlie Kirk, great guy, great man."
Trump hosted Kirk's wife, Erika Kirk, as his personal guest at the event. He further categorized Kirk as a martyr, in light of his death in late September.
