Trump denies claims of closeness with CBS News leadership

President Donald Trump on Tuesday denied claims that he maintains friendly ties with the leadership of CBS News.

"For those people that think I am close with the new owners of CBS, please understand that 60 Minutes has treated me far worse since the so-called 'takeover,' than they have ever treated me before. If they are friends, I’d hate to see my enemies!" he posted on Truth Social.

Earlier this year, Skydance acquired Paramount, the parent company of CBS News. Company leadership has since placed Bari Weiss in charge. Weiss famously resigned from the New York Times to form The Free Press and has positioned herself as a supporter of free speech and traditional journalism.
