Trump honors University of Florida Gators for NCAA win

The team presented Trump with his own number 47 Gators Jersey at the event.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday hosted the University of Florida Gators at the White House to mark their victory in the NCAA tournament.

Florida defeated Houston in a narrow, 65-63 win this year, with Coach Todd Golden.

"Big crowd. That's really, really nice. I just met you, Coach. Now I see why you won, but they had to put out tall guys, good looking guys, congratulations. Fantastic job," Trump said. "That's not easy, right coach, but today, we're delighted to welcome the 2025 NCAA basketball champions the University of Florida Gators."
