President Donald Trump on Friday named James Murphy to serve as the chairman of the National Labor Relations Board, Politico reported, citing "two people who were granted anonymity."

Upon returning to office, Trump fired Gwynne Wilcox from the NLRB, leading to a Supreme Court case over his authority to do so.
The administration ultimately won the case, along with one over another challenged firing.
