Trump speaks to troops at Fort Bragg, NC

President Donald Trump on Friday visited Fort Bragg, N.C., where he spoke to members of the military, alongside first lady Melania Trump and a number of North Carolina lawmakers.

During the visit, Trump joked to the soldiers that they ought to "vote for us" because the Democrats would rename the base again. The facility was briefly known as Fort Liberty until the Trump administration restored the original name last year.

Melania Trump, meanwhile, wished the troops a happy Valentine's Day and said that "[t]he harmony of love of country and love of family is what makes us uniquely American."

Also present were a number of Republican members of Congress and North Carolina GOP Senate candidate Michael Whatley, who previously ran the state Republican Party.
