Trump: Zelensky hasn't read Ukraine peace proposal
"Is Zelensky responsible for the stalled progress?" asked the reporter.
President Donald Trump this week told Politico that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had not read his proposed peace plan to end the war with Russia.
"Is Zelensky responsible for the stalled progress?" asked the reporter.
"It would be nice if he would read it. You know, a lot of people are dying," Trump said. "His people, they really like it... I think he should find time to read it.
Trump campaigned on ending the Ukraine War within 24 hours of taking office, a deadline that has long passed. His plan calls for Ukraine ceding territory to the Russians, which Zelensky refuses to do.
At present, battles rage for the frontline cities of Kupiansk, Lyman, and Siversk. Meanwhile, Russian forces have largely captured Pokrovsk and encircled the garrison of Myrnograd.
