U.S. wounded toll in Iran war rises to 232: Report
Fighting has raged in northern Lebanon since Hezbollah entered the war and numerous strikes in Iraq and the Gulf States have likely added to the totals through third-party casualties.
A total of 232 U.S. personnel have been wounded in the Iran war, The Hill reported Friday, citing a "defense official."
The confirmed death toll, meanwhile, sits at 13 as of press time. The majority of the injured, the official stated, suffered only minor injuries. U.S. Central Command confirmed that 200 injuries had occurred by earlier this week.
Iranian casualties remain unclear, but are estimated to be much higher. As of March 11, the Iranian death toll had reached 1,230. Numbers remain murkier for other parties to the conflict.
