Vice President JD Vance has canceled plans to attend a fraud-related press conference in Minnesota, without giving a reason, local outlet Kare 11 reported.

The vice president had been set to headline the Friday presser in St. Cloud. Minnesota has been at the forefront of the administration's fraud crackdown for much of the year, since reporting on large-scale public fraud linked to the Somali expat community in Minneapolis went viral.

Vance's cancellation follows President Donald Trump canceling in-person rallies for virtual events, prompting speculation about the White House's views on the midterms.

The electoral contests are set for Tuesday.
