Arkansas Gov. signs Social Media Safety Act into law
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed the Social Media Safety Act into law Wednesday, requiring age verification and parental consent for minors using social media. The new legislation, to go into effect in September, will be the second state law in the U.S. to restrict children’s social media use.
