Colombia and Venezuela will reopen their common borders
The presidents of Colombia and Venezuela announced on Friday that the borders between the two countries will reopen on September 26th. The border had been closed between the nations since 2019 after a diplomatic conflict ensued. Colombian President Gustavo Petro stated that cargo transportation and air travel would resume between the nations after September 26th. Nicholas Maduro, president of Venezuela, added that "the exchange and cooperation between our people are starting off on the right foot".
