Jamie Tronnes: Canadian energy sector gravely concerned with direction of Carney's leadership
Center for North American Prosperity Director Jamie Tronnes says Canadian energy businesses are going to pay close attention to newly elected Prime Minister Mark Carney’s first meeting with President Donald Trump tomorrow. “The number of pipelines that liberals have canceled just over the last ten years, the ‘Lost Liberal Decade’ as many refer to it, really is a test for Mark Carney to show that he’s different than Justin Trudeau,” she says. “Because, from what a lot of people we’re seeing on the campaign trail, he really didn’t seem all that different from Justin Trudeau and a lot of the same Cabinet ministers are still the same people that are in Cabinet.”
