Marijuana measures pass in 2 states, fail in 3

Arkansas' constitutional amendment to allow cannabis possession and recreational consumption by adults and sale by licensed facilities is projected to have failed. CNN also projected the defeat of a North Dakota citizen-initiated ballot measure to allow the use of marijuana for people 21 and older. A South Dakota measure to legalize cannabis is also projected to have failed. In Maryland, approval is projected for a constitutional amendment legalizing recreational marijuana for people 21 and older. CNN also projects the approval of a Missouri measure ending prohibitions on marijuana and allowing personal use for those over 21.
