More than 60 arrested in connection to Cuban trafficking ring

62 arrests have been made in connection to an intercontinental criminal network that trafficked Cuban nationals, including minors, into the European Union. According to a statement from Europol Monday, more than 5,000 Cubans paid the smuggling ring $9,000 euros (nearly $10,000) each to fly commercially into Russia or Serbia. Authorities from Germany, Greece, North Macedonia, Spain, and Serbia have aided in the investigation since it began in October 2021.
